Bechert graduated in 2012 with a degree in sculpture from Maryland Institute College of Art and exhibits throughout the United States.
This glazed bud vase is made from vitrified English porcelain. The imagery is achieved through the sgrafitto technique in which the surface is painted with pigmented clay and then carved away to reveal the white body underneath.
